The Basic Tenets of FREE
There are Ten Basic Tenets to FREE, which are
the foundation of the program. They are written in the first-person,
so that they can also serve as affirmations. They are as follows:
-
I have power over
food and food thoughts.
-
I practice
mindful eating and empowering self-talk.
-
I accept
that my Higher Self - the true me - has the power to eat mindfully
and moderately.
-
I connect with my
Higher Self before any food passes my lips.
-
I make my food
choices from a position of power and strength, not fear or
defiance. I quit judging my food choices.
-
I accept that,
just as I have the freedom to eat what I want, I also have the
freedom to not eat what I don’t want.
-
I practice mindful
eating with every piece of food I put in my mouth. I eat slowly
and in small amounts, savoring each bite.
-
I remind myself
whenever feelings of powerlessness creep in that I always have the
power of choice and personal responsibility.
-
I daily, hourly
practice challenging and changing my embedded negative self-talk.
I counter it with positive affirmations.
-
I separate myself
into two beings: my wise, loving, Higher Self and my Destructive
Self. As I practice my new self-talk and mindful
eating, my Destructive Self slowly withers away. I become whole.

What Clients Are Saying... |
|
|
"I
first came to Caryn to work on my food issues, but the focus of
our coaching changed mid-stream due to some new personal
challenges I was experiencing. To my
delight, Caryn was able to switch gears and work with me on
whatever I needed at the time. She still kept track of the
original goals, but was able to help me help myself with my
other concerns. She was able to do all this with an
extremely positive and compassionate attitude that I really
respected. I think Caryn has great insight with her area
of expertise, but I would count on her for many other life
challenges as well. She is a true professional with a
heart!"
