FREE for Food Addicts
Caryn recognizes that for many people it is
too hard to mindfully eat those foods that they have binged on for
years. Addiction takes many forms, and food is certainly one of
them. Whether the addiction is physical or psychological or a
combination of both, it can be as debilitating as an addiction to
drugs or alcohol.
The overwhelming majority of food addicts
feel that it would be easier to give up the foods that they
struggle with than learn to eat them mindfully. Caryn understands
this position and respects those clients who prefer this kind of
approach. She works with them to find a flexible way of
eating—without those foods that give them trouble and without
increasing their obsession—by using empowering self-talk. These
clients also learn to mindfully eat those foods with which they
are comfortable.

What Clients Are Saying...

"Before I was introduced to the FREE program, I found myself
obsessing about what I ate, how much I ate and the calories in
all that I ate. Food was so much a part of my day-- I was
always thinking about what, when, where and why I would eat.
FREE helped me learn how to really taste my food and be in-tune
with when I'd had enough. I also changed my self-talk regarding
food. The result? I lost weight! And it stayed off, because I
wasn't dieting . . . I was living!" -Cindy
